The ECR day is a great opportunity to get to know your fellow Antarctic ECR community ahead of the conference, and to learn some real skills that you can use throughout your career. The day will include hands-on and interactive skills development workshops and career development sessions. There will be many opportunities for informal networking over lunch or as part of the activities. Program 10:00am - 10:30am: Morning Tea & Coffee 10:30am - 10:45am: Introductions and Housekeeping, Plan for the day and important information 10:45am - 12:00pm: Career Panel, Learn about opportunities after a PhD and beyond 12:00pm - 1:00pm: Lunch 1:00pm - 2:15pm: Travel Diaries, Share and learn about experiences of Antarctic field work 2:15pm - 2:45pm: Afternoon Tea 2:45pm - 3:45pm: Shaping the Future of Antarctic Research, Discussion of current barriers for Antarctic research, how we can break them down, and how we as the next generation of Antarctic researchers will shape the future of our fields 3:45pm - 4:00pm: Wrap-up and Closing Remarks 4:00pm - 5:15pm: Drinks at Mountain Culture, 105 Murray St, Hobart, One drink voucher per registered attendee 5:15pm - 5:30pm: Walk back to The Forest
