The Australian Antarctic Decadal Strategy Science Implementation Plan identifies Wilkes Subglacial Basin (WSB) as “an area where the ice sheet is especially vulnerable to a warming climate…[and] is a vitally important target for characterising the vulnerable ice basins in the Australian Antarctic Territory.” This workshop will provide opportunity for the Australian Antarctic community to informally discuss ideas for collaborative fieldwork in the WSB, both onshore and offshore. It will begin to identify targets for fieldwork, for aligned modelling, and opportunities for international cooperation. Come along with ideas and questions.
