Garry Menz is the Chair of the Chartered Institute of Brewers and Distillers and the Group Head of Liquid Development & Brewing for Asahi Beverages Oceania. He has over 14 years experience in the brewing industry, across brewing, innovation, and quality roles; including time with CUB, SAB Miller, and AB InBev. He is an IBD Master Brewer, and holds a PhD in Brewing Science, along with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Food Science & Technology) (Honours), and a Bachelor of Management (Marketing). Garry first became a member of the then Institute of Brewing & Distilling during his university days, completed his CIBD Diploma and Master Brewer, and has volunteered as a regional event co-ordinator in Queensland. He joined the Asia Pacific board as a director in 2023, and became Chair in October 2024.
