Matthew - Head Brewer Valley Hops
Matthew is a Brisbane-based brewer and Head Brewer at Valley Hops Brewing in Fortitude Valley. In addition to his commercial brewing experience, Matthew has been involved in beer judging with the Queensland Amateur Brewing Competition since 2014. Based at Valley Hops' unique rooftop brewery in the heart of Fortitude Valley, Matthew brings practical experience in operating a brewery within a highly constrained inner-city hospitality environment.
Amanda Durand - Regional Sales Manager Fermentis ANZ
Amanda Durand is Regional Sales Manager Asia Pacific at Fermentis by Lesaffre, where she leads business development and technical support activities across the region. Fermentis' 2026 Australian and New Zealand events confirm her current Regional Sales Manager role.
Amanda has a strong scientific background. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Organic Chemistry with Honours, a Bachelor of Laws, and a PhD in Food Chemistry and Technology, all from the University of Newcastle, Australia.
She is also a member of the CIBD Asia Pacific Board, having joined following the October 2025 AGM.
