Preventing Off-Flavours in Non-Alc Beers
📅 Date: Thursday 17th of September
🕠 Time: 6pm - 8pm
📍 Location: Carlton Brewhouse, 24 Thompson St, Abbotsford VIC
Join us for a sensory session by Lallemend Brewing at the Carlton Brewhouse in Abbotsford.
Presented by Lallemand Australia’s Technical Guru Richard Chamberlin and focussing on no alcohol beers, this session will guide brewers through a tasting of aldehydes — compounds that contribute to the sweet, malty, and worty flavors often associated with no-alcohol beer.
These compounds are a primary reason why many no-alcohol beers taste different from their traditional counterparts. The session will also provide brewers with advice on how to counteract, or prevent, their formation in these low-alcohol beers.
