Day 1: Indigenous Pathways - my experience as an Indigenous Trainee
Yemurraki Egan, Project Assistant, University of Melbourne
Yemurraki has been working at the University of
Melbourne for close to 2 years. He has come through the Melbourne Indigenous
Professional Employment Program, which was introduced to the University when
they implemented their Reconciliation Action Plan. He has spent 1 year as a
Facilities Administrator and close to 10 months in Estate Planning and Delivery.
Join his presentation as he discuss how having experience and exposure in the
building industry can influence a students career pathway. And explains the
importance of giving indigenous people an opportunity to influence the
infrastructure industry.
Day 2: XYX Lab - Monash Space Gender Communication Lab
Nicole Kalms is an Associate Professor in the Department of
Design and founding director of the XYX Lab at Monash University.
Dr Bianca Fileborn is a Lecturer in Criminology in the School of
Social and Political Sciences, University of Melbourne.
