Flying to Adelaide

Adelaide Airport is currently the fifth-largest domestic and international airport in Australia. It is the aviation gateway to South Australia and processes more than 8 million passengers annually.

Airlines flying direct to Adelaide: 

Qatar, Malaysian, Fiji, China Southern, United (from Dec), Emirates, Air NZ, Singapore, Jetstar, Virgin, Qantas

Airport Transfer Options

Adelaide Airport is located just 6km away from the Adelaide Convention Centre, approximately 15 min drive from the airport. Adelaide Metro also offers a convenient Adelaide Airport bus service. To found out more visit Adelaide Metro. The bus is a Metro card service. Metro cards can be purchased from the airport ticket vending machine at the bus stop. The machine takes coins, notes and eftpos.

Getting around Adelaide

 

Public Transport

Adelaide Metro is Adelaide’s public transport system. The Adelaide Metro network operates around greater metropolitan Adelaide, using buses, trains and trams. 

Free travel in the city and North Adelaide

For your convenience Adelaide Metro offers free public transport options in the city and North Adelaide. The free City Connector bus links you to popular city attractions, shopping, dining, education and other services. All buses are wheelchair and pram friendly.

There are two different routes:

  • Route 99A and 99C: loop around the CBD, available Monday to Friday.
  • Route 98A and 98C: loop around the CBD and North Adelaide, available every day.

The free City Connector bus is a joint initiative of the City of Adelaide and Adelaide Metro.

Ride Shares
There are multiple rideshare services operating in Adelaide. Choose from the traditional Uber or Ola.
There’s also Shebah (operated by women, for women), or MyCar for eco-friendly transport.

Adelaide and suburban areas are serviced by three taxi companies:
In addition, Suburban Access Taxis cater for passengers with a disability. Their vehicles are fitted with hydraulic lifts, allowing those in wheelchairs and scooters to be transported securely and respectfully.
