WARNING: FRAUDULENT WEBSITES AND BOOKING AGENCIES
The conference industry is confronted with an increasing number of fraudulent websites that impersonate legitimate conference websites and booking agencies that are not authorised to make bookings for conference participants.
Leishman Associates wishes to advise 39th Australasian Polymer Symposium participants to be aware of possible scams and urges all participants to only use the official conference website.
Leishman Associates is the only official accommodation agency for 39th Australasian Polymer Symposium. If you are contacted by any other company or agency offering accommodation for the conference, please note that these companies are not authorised to represent the 39th Australasian Polymer Symposium in any way, nor do they have access to the officially contracted room blocks or rates.
Imitation sites and agencies invite meeting participants to supply their personal details including credit card information, in return for a promise to provide travel and accommodation. Please be aware that these unauthorised companies might not deliver what they promise, and in fact may not deliver anything to the conference participant at all despite charging the credit card.
If you have any questions around the legitimacy of a supposed meeting website, or are contacted by any such agency, please contact conference@laevents.com.au or +61 03 6234 7844.
Australasian Polymer Symposium (APS) The Polymer Division of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI) has a long-standing history of organising the Australasian Polymer Symposium (APS) conferences.
The APS has a long established tradition of bringing together the polymer science and engineering communities of Australasia as well as esteemed polymer colleagues from around the world; from the current world-leaders in polymer research to academics, researchers, research students and industrial professionals from universities, research organisations and the polymer industry globally.
The APS also serves as an opportunity for national and international networking through an exciting forum of both formal presentations as well as informal idea exchanges in order to contribute towards the development of frontier polymer research.
