FAQ'S

To ensure that your visit to Melbourne and the experience of the Conference is as enjoyable as possible, here is a list of Frequently Asked Questions which will hopefully provide you with all the information you need.

We encourage you to read through this before you attend. Please contact us if you have a question that we haven’t answered, please email the MQHQ Events team via email, and we will be in touch.

Where is the Conference held?

The Conference is being held at The Sofitel Melbourne on Collins 

Address: 25 Collins Street, Melbourne 

Is there parking at the venue?

How do I get from the airport to the venue?

If you are arriving on 15th and departing on 17th a
coach transfer will be available for both transfers. 

We will advise you of your transfers closer to the date as 
some flights may change.

If you are arriving or departing on alternate dates, you will 
have to make your own arrangements. 

A fee of $25 per person will be applied (one way) for guests requiring an airport transfer.  This can be booked through the registration form.

DURING THE CONFERENCE

Dress Code

Thursday day, smart casual business attire.

Thursday evening, smart casual attire. 

Friday day, smart casual business attire.

Friday dinner, black tie. 

Registration Desk Open Hours

The Money Quest Group registration desk is located at the Main Foyer, and is open from 11.30am. Please bypass the hotel reception. There is no need to check in there.

Dietary Requirements

If you have any dietary requirements, and not advised the
events team of them already, please email them to Rachel

If you do not let us know, note we will not be able to accommodate last minute dietary requests at the event.

📸 Say cheese!  

Please be aware that there will be a professional videographer and a photographer onsite for the duration of the event, capturing all the conference highlights! We will be sharing this content on social media and our website. If you have any questions or would prefer not to be featured, please email MQG’s social media manager, Luke Clarke – luke@mqga.com.au – or make yourself known to him on Thursday August 15 at the conference.

ACCOMMODATION

Breakfast

Breakfast is included for each delegate staying in-house at The Sofitel on Collins on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th August 2024. 

Breakfast is available in No. 35 The Restaurant and is open from 6.30am Monday - Friday and 7.00am Saturday and Sunday. Remember to leave yourself plenty of time to enjoy a hearty breakfast before starting your day. 

Meals/refreshments for guests and/or children accompanying conference delegates are not included in the delegate fee.

Should you wish to include your guests at breakfast (or any other conference event), you must advise Rachel so catering can be arranged and appropriate charges applied. Breakfast is available for an additional $50 pp per day.

Check In

Hotel guests can check in from 3pm on Thursday 15th August 2024. If you are checking in on an earlier date, the time is still 3pm.

By the close of day one events, you will be provided keys to your room.



Room Configuration 

Superior Deluxe rooms are configured with either one king bed or two double beds. Room configurations are subject to availability. Please email Rachel if you have a specific bedding confriguration.

Extending your stay

The hotel will charge you for any extended stays, payment will not be taken during the conference registration process. Please note, surcharges on accommodation rates may be applicable for Saturday nights, special event dates and public holidays. 


Partners

Yes, your partner is welcome to enjoy the hotel and its amenities. There is no extra charge for one adult guest in your room, although breakfast will be an additional cost of $50 per day. We must be advised of your partner's name for the room booking. Please notify us via Rachel if you have not already informed us of their attendance.

Children

Kids are welcome to stay with you at the hotel. However, as per any adult guests, we need to know. There may be a cost involved for bedding, etc. Please let us know if you will be bringing any children, and their ages. We will liaise with the hotel and advise you of any charges, should there be any.
