Connecting Australia's polar research community in a rapidly changing world
It is open to all Australian-based researchers interested in the conference topic, regardless of affiliation or discipline. Only the conference plenary sessions will be delivered in a hybrid format.
This research conference seeks to cover the full breadth of Antarctic, Southern Ocean and sub-Antarctic research. Contributions are invited from all relevant disciplines, including (but not limited to) glaciology, oceanography, atmospheric science, biology, geophysics, biogeochemistry, human impacts, humanities, law, arts and social sciences, as well as new technologies and their application.
The conference is designed to allow sufficient time for side-meetings (e.g. around key research questions or major field programs) within the schedule. We invite proposals for side-events of up to 3 hours in duration.
There will be a single-stream oral session, poster presentations (with optional lightning talk) and a dedicated Early Career Researchers (ECR) day. Orals and posters will be allocated based on an assessment of submitted abstracts.
