Wollongong, NSW

Wollongong is NSW’s third-largest city, and home to the University of Wollongong, a top selection of restaurants and a vibrant arts precinct. The Keira Street ‘eat street’ is a short walk from the Wollongong Art Gallery, which has one of Australia’s best regional collections of Aboriginal art.

Enjoy a wonderful mix of beautiful beaches, unforgettable adventures and memorable experiences in the Wollongong region, just south of Sydney. To get there, follow the spectacular Grand Pacific Drive touring route over the Sea Cliff Bridge, as it snakes over the ocean, or travel by scenic train.

There’s plenty of great things to do in the region, from relaxing on gorgeous beaches, hang-gliding above the sparkling ocean and fun water sports to discovering the Science Space museum. You can even visit the Nan Tien Temple, the largest Buddhist temple in the Southern Hemisphere.

How to get to Wollongong from Sydney Airport

Sydney airport is the main gateway to Wollongong. It boasts international, domestic and general aviation terminals. From the airport you can hire a car or catch a train or bus.  Sydney Airport is located approximately 1:30 minutes from Wollongong.
