Publication Opportunities

Conference Proceedings

For full (4,000-5,000 words) conference papers, authors have the option to publish the paper in its entirety or publish only the paper abstract in the conference proceedings. For Extended Abstract (1,000 words) the full abstract will be published in the conference proceedings. The conference proceedings will be published and distributed post conference through the conference channels. Authors of Full Research Papers and Extended Abstracts will be required to give their permission (sign a transfer of copyright agreement) to have their manuscript or abstract published in the conference proceedings.

JHTM Special Issue

For prospective authors considering post-conference publication plans, there will be a conference special issue of the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management to which authors of selected Full Research Papers will be invited to submit a paper. For authors of a full conference paper, the manuscript would need to be significantly expanded upon and revised to adhere to JHTM’s author guidelines and paper word limit (6,000-8,000 words). Excellent quality conference papers will be selected for submission and potential publication in the special issue. All selected papers will go through a double-blind review process managed by the special issue editors and the editor-in-chief of the journal. Papers submitted to the special issue will need to comply with the submission guidelines and quality standards of the JHTM.

Acknowledgement of Country

The City of Brisbane and The University of Queensland acknowledges this Country and its Traditional Custodians. We acknowledge and respect the spiritual relationship between Traditional Custodians and this Country, which has inspired language, songs, dances, lore and dreaming stories over many thousands of years. We pay our respects to the Elders, those who have passed into the dreaming; those here today; those of tomorrow. May we continue to peacefully walk together, in gratitude, respect and kindness in caring for this Country and one another.

Diversity and inclusion commitment

CAUTHE strongly supports equity and inclusion for all. We embrace diversity and condemn any kind of discrimination, be it on the basis of race, religion, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability.
